Ready to GO!

Wow... time flies. The last few months have felt like a whirlwind. Stephen finished up school at SAIT, his last exam being just this past Thursday. And now we are getting ready to leave, fully prepared or not - it's happening!

On Tuesday night our family came together to commission us and cover us in prayer. We are so blessed to know that we have many people at home that have committed to pray for us.

A big thank you to all who came out to pray, and to Pastor Wes for commissioning us and bringing us before the Lord. Thank you to Vide and Munier for leading us in worship. And thanks Auntie Shirley for the picture! Thank you to those at home who have committed to pray. We would love it if you would send us an email when we get back to let us know that you have been praying.

My biggest prayer request right now is that we will not get in the way of what God wants to do in and through us. He is bigger than our plans and the 3 weeks that we have set aside. We pray that above all He will be glorified. We ask that you would join us in prayer for the people that we will meet, even though we don't know them yet. We pray that they will come to know the love of our Saviour.

We have experienced a lot of emotions over the last few days as it starts to sink in that we're actually leaving.

We're excited:

...and we're tired...

...and we're freaking out a little (I think I show it more)...

...but mostly we're so excited!!!

Our bags are (mostly) packed...

and today at 5:50PM we will set out on our first flight to Frankfurt. It's my first time flying over the ocean to a new continent, so I'm very excited! We hope to see a bit of Frankfurt during our 8 hour layover before we fly to Brussels on Monday night.

Until next time,

Carlin (and Stephen)
